I just discovered something funny (well, it's funny to me) . I was just reading on Patrick Mead's blog "Tent Pegs" and noticed for some reason that as I read to myself, I was reading it with his accent. I hear his voice in my head when I read his blog. You know, I thought about that for a second and realized that I would never be able to mimic someone else's voice with my mouth but I can do an excellent job of it in my head where no one can hear it.
As a matter of fact, as I'm writing this, I'm realizing that I apparently do this with every blog of people I know....Tim, Al, Jamie, Scott, Katie, Zane, etc. I hear their voices reading each blog entry on their own blogs and on this blog. If you think about it, I'll bet you do it too. I wonder why we do that? I've discovered that relationship is key. Hearing Patrick's voice in my head while reading his blog, makes reading it so much more interesting. Even his jokes are funnier because you can visualize him telling them with his hands and facial expressions. I'm so glad we all know one another well enough to know exactly how we each sound, look, etc. when we talk. There is life there in a beautiful and diverse way. I'm glad you're all in my life and that I have the honor of knowing you all better and better......to the point that "I hear voices in my head"...haha ;)

When the voices start telling you to start wearing aluminum foil hats it's time to seek professional help. :P
Seriously, Jennifer, good post. I guess I do that unconciously also...I just never noticed it.
Haha....I was just waiting for the smart alleck replies to start flooding in. I really expected Jason to be the first one, though...hahaha. I changed the title to the post 3 times before deciding what it should be called. When I got to the last sentence, I laughed out loud and said "THAT is going to be the title!". I figured it would get everyone's attention and with the group that reads this blog, it was bound to bring about some comments about my mentality.
Glad you enjoyed it, Al! And to the rest of you, Bring it on! ;)
Jennifer,
Why would you expect sarcasm from me? As a matter of fact, I was touched by your post. I thought of a guy whose voice I know, someone I think you should meet, Charlie Gorman. He's a professional counselor and a good one at that. He'll provide the nuturing guidance that you (and Al) need.
Jason - excellent and accurate comment! You did comment didn't you? I'm starting to wonder if I'm not just hearing things - you know - "in my head." Please keep this just between us.
Ok - I liked you post Jennifer, and I agree - it's great to be close to God's family. He has given us an incredible blessing in family.
Jason - did you say she was "touched" when she wrote this??? I need to go back and re-read that.
I'm laughing so hard!
Thanks for the comments, guys! It's about time something on this blog made me laugh. ;) Too serious all the time. Let's have some fun too. :D
Jamie,
You asked--
"Jason - did you say she was "touched" when she wrote this??? "
I just want to state for the record-- I didn't touch her, she touched me.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! :D
I feel I must comment to a post that mentions me by name. I don't hear no voices. Never. Ever. When I read it's like a steady monotone synthetic computer voice numbly going on and on and on.....
HELP ME! STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!
"I see dead people", I'm sorry I thought I was in a Bruce Willis movie.
Actually I hear Steve Williams voice, just because everything sounds better with his voice. He could read Abbie's school menu and I would stand and applaud.
PS. Thanks Al that creepy guy bugs me, I'll have nightmares now.
Sorry about the BK guy, Aaron. How's this?
