Oh stop whining Bengal fans.

We have the DRIVE and the FUMBLE, thanks to Elway. So now you guys have the KNEE.

What incredible photography -- to only show 1 frame and that 1 frame after initial contact is brilliant by the Bengal's office. There is no way to understand the timing of everything by this.

This is a great example of how you can take only part of the whole and build your case. (it's called out of context) If you notice - Carson is still in his follow-through in this picture. That tells me that Kimo did what the rules say he is to do... tackle the Quarterback low instead of taking off his head. The rule is supposed to protect the QB, but here it didn't do so well.

I remember when the Bengals defeated the Steelers in the regular season -- Ben had a broken thumb -- and people said "the Steelers would use it as an excuse for losing -- and that they should just accept the loss..."
The big thing overlooked in this is that Carson himself said the hit wasn't cheap or on purpose. He knows Kimo isn't a cheap shot player -- Look up his career stats.

A-Mac -- I agree -- he is really talented and the Bengals and the game would have been better with him in.

Jason -- by cheap shot, did you mean by Carson for putting his leg in Kimo's arm so all Bengal fans would be mad at him, or by the photographer for giving people only what they wanted to see?

lisa -- Sorry about Carson.

Doc -- "The Drive" and "The Fumble," the NFL hasn't been very good to you.

Easy there Steeler fan, I was kidding with the cheap shot comment.

It was simply an unfortunate football accident. Great teams can deal with the loss of great players. Next year might be the year of the Bengal.

I am not whining...Just reflecting on a season that was a long time in the waiting. Just letting the backers know we are almost back and not let the whole season be remembered because of this. Plus I thought I might get some interesting thoughts about it :).

Little different than the Fumble and Drive...Those were self-imposed, but nonetheless disappointing and unforgettable. I know you understand the pain...no pun intended.

The loss is accepted, because no matter what you have to be prepared for the worst. But the pain is still there.

Oh by the way, I pulled the picture off a Pittsburgh newspaper sight. Could not find it on the Bengals, even though I heard it was there.

It's like 8:15 in the A.M. on Friday morning -- I just got back from Columbus, my sister called at like 11:30 last night and said mom wasn't doing so well -- so off I went.

Now about my comment earlier -- I was actually just shooting off a little myself (grinning from ear to ear as I typed)-- but I thought it would be Lisa who busted my chops about it... She hates the Steelers, (can't say I blame her)and she isn't sure about me because I like them. (I'm with her though -- I'm not so sure about me either, but it has nothing to do with the Steelers.)
Come on Lisa, cheer for the Steelers with me -- I cheered for the Bengals when they weren't playing the Steelers.

Aaron I'm not surprised you got that from a Pittsburgh sight -- those guys are probably proud of it. Just kidding!!!!!
It looks pretty painful!

**********Statement Promoting Peace and Love**********
I didn't write this - or my previous comment as a Steeler fan. No -- I wrote these as a friend to all of you on this blog -- and I was just goofing off and having fun... as a Steeler fan. You knew I wasn't serious about not writing as a Steeler fan - Right!

BTW -- I'm writing this in soothing colorful tones like green, blue, black and gold-- not in fiery red tones -- and especially not orange and black tones.

ER doctors will tell you the next 48 hours are critical. Looks to be like that for the Steelers. Indy's a town that has the Indy 500, the Brickyard, and they want the Super Bowl Title bad. They took the Steelers down once already and are counting down the hours to do it again.
