I wandered across a site by Joe Beam. He describes, from his own perception, what is going on with Churches of Christ. You might find this reading very interesting. Read through it and comment back here as to where you see us in his model.

Jason,
Very interesting reading. I thought in many ways he was dead on. You can definitely see the different groups within Sunshine. Now I am no world traveler as far as Church of Christ's go (maybe 10-15 different CofC's in my life) but I see us in the Searching category. Probably with more Cautious members than Satisfied members, but I am just guessing. Of course we have all types. The scary thing is that there are probably exasperated ones and nobody would no. Sounds like these are the ones that just do not show up one Sunday and never seen again. It would be nice if there was a way to talk to people to find out if there was such frustation and head it off at the pass. Just thoughts.
I think there are positives to all groups, just as long as one group recognizes the good in another.
I really like your idea, Gabe. I would like to be able to put a stop to possible splitting (frustration) before it happens, as Aaron said.
I see Sunshine in the traditional block. Joe stated that tradition congregations of any size have members from all camps. I see that as true for us. I do not see us as having many zealots, but a whole bunch of satisfied. Within the leadership (Elders, Deacons, and Ministers), I see a range from satisfied to very near exasperated.
I definitely agree with Joe's statement that division will be avoided if satisfied and seekers will stop listening to zealots.
