December Concert!!

David Phelps singing in Florida on July 4th 2006.

There is a Christian Rock Concert in Ashland, Kentucky on December 11th. It will be at the Paramount Arts Center and Tim and I are going!! My absolute favorite singer (in any genre) will be the artist performing and I would love to get a big group to go with us! Let me just say this: YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY BY THE POWER OF THIS GUY'S VOICE AND LUNGS!!!!

So, who's coming with us? We need to buy the tickets very soon!

The tickets are $20 to $25 and my friend that works at the Paramount says that tickets are on sale NOW. If we get our tickets at the same time, I'm sure we'll all get to sit together. I want to get the tickets as soon as we possibly can, but I want to take a big group with us. If you and Dewey come, it will only be us 4. I'm hoping to get more to go with us. I'm so excited because I've watched him on t.v. for years and have become a huge fan of this man as well as his voice and singing talent. December's concert will be my first time to meet him. I just want to share this guy's singing ability with everyone I know!

IS this the same guy that sang with the Gaither Vocal Band?

Yes, he sang with the Gaither Vocal Band for several years. He left them approximately two-three years ago.

If you are familiar with the Gaither Vocal Band then you'll know David! Especially if you've heard songs like "Let Freedom Ring" and "The King Is Coming" among so many others. Once you hear his fabulous tenor voice hitting those crystal clear notes and see his gestures emphasizing the message he is singing you'll never forget it! If you have the chance, go to that concert! You won't regret it.

I have been to several of David Phelps' concerts, most of them in Alabama (where I live), one in Tennessee, and my husband and I plan on going to Marion, IL, in 2 weeks to attend his concert there.

He is probably the most "God-gifted" artists I have ever seen or heard. He not only has a voice that is INCREDIBLE, but he has also been gifted to write songs that reach into the very depths of the heart. I don't know if he writes from personal experience, or if the Spirit of God gives him the words that God knows will be just what those attending his concerts need to hear (I would imagine both).

It is impossible to place David in one
musical category because his songs reach people of all ages. I "HIGHLY" recommend that if you ever get the opportunity, go see him for yourself. If you're like me and many of his other fans, you will not regret it, no matter how many miles you must travel. Attending his concert will make you feel like you've had a "little taste of Heaven".

David's ministry is one of the most powerful out there in the "gospel" genre, I believe. He has been blessed by God with a wonderful singing voice and a true heart for God. He shares at EVERY concert, radio interview, tv interview, etc, how much God has been a blessing to him and his family and once you've met them in person, you'll know you've been touched by God as well. His career as a solo artist is just taking off by leaps and bounds and to hear him sing is a true blessing to your own heart. If YOU miss the messages, whether he's talking to the audience or singing, then YOUR heart is not right with God as it should be. David's music is straight from his heart, from his own personal experiences to those of others around him...you won't regret it!!
God Bless you all!!!

David is considered Adult Contemporary Christian, not rock. His solo career has been doing very well since returning to it full time upon leaving the GVB in June 2005, just one year ago.

I've been to some of his concerts and they are by far the best solo concert I've ever been to. Not only is he the best vocalist in the industry today, but there is something for EVERYONE in his concert. He's very entertaining, funny, but at the same time, very careful to make sure he leaves the audience feeling like they've been to church!

You won't be disappointed!

David Phelps will blow you away. You must go to this concert. Yes, a lot of poeple associate him with the Gaithers and the southern gospel music but his music is a variety of all kinds. On his cds, his has influences from jazz, rock, pop etc. He is a very kind person and will stay til the end of the fans when you get to meet him. Just go and see what you think, the best way is to hear him first live! It's amazing. It will be an unforgettable night filled with God's love!

David Phelps is by far, the biggest blessing to Christian music God has given to us, no matter what "style" he sings, and he sings them all! My husband and I have spent more than 8 hours one way traveling to his solo concerts on more than one occasion and believe that each time we have done so, we have been especially blessed by his voice (it's like having our own angel singing solo!!) David brings to life on the stage the truth of of God's amazing love for each and every one who is sitting in the audience. What better time to hear and share this Gospel message but Christmas!! You really don't want to miss this opportunity. I, personally, am considering driving down the 6 hours myself for this concert!!

Hello, I just wanted to put in my two cents concerning David Phelps. He is the most awesome Christian singer I have ever heard. He is even better in concert. He always encourages you with his words and music. Anyone who has the opportunity to see him should really try to go. You will never be the same!:)

After you see David Phelps perform you will understand what blessed by GOD truly means. David shares his blessings so freely with the audience. His concerts are perfect for a family outing cuz there are no bad words, no off color jokes. Perfect for any kid. Perfect for those need to hear the Word and have encouragement given to you. I have never heard one person say that they did not enjoy his concert.
