A strong series of posts are being published by Bill Gnade at Contratimes. He is addressing the complex issues surrounding the stance(s) taken by the Episcopal Church. At the heart of the series, thus far, is the issue of homosexuality and the ordination of Gene Robinson as a bishop. On a side note, the most recent General Convention of the Episcopal Church was hosted by the Southern Ohio Diocese (Columbus).
The relevance of the issues, with which Bill is wrestling, are far broader than Episcopal Church's stance on homosexuality. Please take time to read and see if you agree.

Jason,
Thanks for calling attention to Bill's series. As you are aware, I normally eschew reading long posts; particularly those that require me to do mental gymnastics. I'm old and set in my ways...I don't want to think "outside the box" if I don't have to. But Bill's posts are an exception. I'm about halfway through his first post and have enjoyed reading almost every word. There's a lot of anguish there that I think a lot of folks can understand and identify with.
I am glad you are reading them and finding them beneficial.
My dear Jason,
I thank you for the vote of confidence. However, I am afraid that the series is all rather cumbersome. People should bring a bag lunch with them, for, unfortunately, the series is not short.
I am grateful that Al is attempting to wade through it all. My apologies, Al, for being so verbose. What can I say? I have no self-edit button.
Peace to you all!
BG
Hey, I'm just thrilled to discover that there's really a guy out there who likes to talk more than I do!...hahahaha ;)
Jennifer
BG,
I am into the third part of your series of essays. I have found them very interesting and find your prose very enjoyable. You can truely feel the pain that you have experienced. Thank you for sharing.
