When life gleams bright there is stardust
That glitters, trembling with delight;
In other times of dark depression
Dull ashes sift through dusk of night.
Through life both happiness and sorrow
Come along to find their place,
For they must penetrate and enter
Behind the mask of every face.
For life is filled with varied textures,
Grants not one soul perfect peace;
All must wait for God's sweet heaven
To find from sorrow all release.
All must work toward God's promise
And to that end keep struggling on;
Then He will grant eternal stardust
The darkness of ashes forever gone.

Jason,
Thanks for the post. I think this goes right along with our studies for last weeks home groups. James 1 talks about perseverance and it building you up and making you stronger, and those who persevere will be granted with eternal life. What a wonderful poem and words of wisdom from a sister who I am sure through the work of the LORD has persevered through those trials and temptations.
Excellent post Jason! I think Geneva deserves significant blog time. Her book of poetry “If Someone Offers You a Rose” is worth the time spent reading it. More than that, it’s a wonderful view into the heart of a beautiful Christian Lady. We’re blessed that she is part of the Sunshine family.
I appreciate the comments, if you would say something to Geneva directly, it would make her day.
Thanks
I'm with you there Jason. I've had the blessing of talking often with Geneva about her poetry and song writing. That's just one of the many blessings about being at the back door after church services.
She is a talented lady, and it really encourages her, as it does all of us, to know that God's hand is seen in her life.
Geneva is very talented. She gave us a copy of her book several years ago. I would encourage everyone to read her book.

Geneva also is very talanted in Music. She has a very beautiful singing voice and enjoys playing the piano. She taught both our boys music lessons. Most important, do you need a good Christain friend? Talk to Geneva.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER
