A question has been raised within my online bible study group.
Are our names written in "the Lamb's book of life" when we are born and then when we decide to refuse God, our names are erased?
Is there scripture for this or is this one of those things that just goes unanswered until we get to heaven and ask? ; )

Was my name already there at birth?

I don't know about a scripture, but I would think that it's written there when we're "born" into him in baptism. I don't think it's erasable.
Rev 3:5 implies that our names can be removed from the book of life. There are many scriptures that warn against falling away. Salvation may be lost, even after baptism.
