Lo, in the silent night
A child is born to God
And all is brought again
That ere was lost or lorn.
Could but thy soul, O man,
Become a silent night!
God would be born in thee
And set all things aright.
-quote taken from 15th Century
This poem was taken from a book called Watch for the Light, Readings for Advent and Christmas. While we do not celebrate the season to the extent that other groups do, this little book contains some uncommon perspectives (perhaps even more biblical) on the Christmas season and what really happened in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago.
