Kids or strangers?

Is it possible that we love our kids too much? Or, stated in operational terms, do we spend too much of our time, money, and energy on our kids to the expense of other priorities?

Richard Beck's Freud and Faith series has noted the tremendous impact of Sigmund Freud on our culture. It is difficult to fully grasp the magnitude of Freud's influence on modern culture. Beck discusses Freud's influence as it relates to our notions of parenting in his latest post. Check it out here!
